I did a search for TMJ dentists in Seoul and didn't find any threads on the subject. I will be heading to the Seoul area (specifically to Bundang) in mid-February. I have heard that medical/dental care is a lot cheaper over there. I need a new appliance for my TMJ. It's going to run me $3,000 here. If I waited until I got to Korea could I get it cheaper? Do they even have dentists who handle such specialized treatment? |

Well, sort of. I have really severe tmj and I grind and clench my teeth pretty much 24/7 and I have kinda graduated to a more permanent appliance than a mouthguard to wear while sleeping. I've been through a few. The latest one that my dentist wants to put me in combines a hard plastic piece to go over my molars and a metal bar that will go behind my top front teeth so that I quit pressing my tongue against my teeth. It's ridiculously complicated. Do you think they can handle this kinda thing? |
