| i have an external WD hard drive. It shows up as 235 gigs used out of 1terebyte.. I have a lot of files on there. When i click it and try to open it reads as being empty- no folders. I did a virus scan and it reads the files no problem. Any ideas? |

| Show hidden files and folders. Dunno what OS you use, but try that. |

Just google it, there's quite a few things it could be.
First step would be seeing if it does that when used with a different computer. |

| Thanks. Figured it out. It was the "short cut" virus which has been going around. Had to use some command prompt action, which is normally above my computing pay grade. But i got it solved with the help of some nice websites. |
