As I live in Jeonju, you have 3 ways to buy this camera:
1) Send me money, I will ship camera, you check it don't like ship it back no problem - I dealt here with few people before, I trusted them or they trusted me, in all cases, whole deal went honest with everybody happy, if you need references let me know.
2) Come to Jeonju, until Sunday, inspect the camera, buy if you like
3) Meet me either Saturday or Sunday afternoon in Daejeon train station (next to Costco), details to be setup
If you are interested, ask me to send you the pictures of the camera

For sale as LNIB Canon 550D. I bought it brand new from Canon Korea in March. Camera is in mint condition, like new in excellent mechanical, cosmetic and optical condition. It comes with neck strap battery, battery charger, PC cable, TV cable, software CD, battery cover, Korean manual and clean Korean warranty card. With camera comes the kit lens. It is Ef-S 18-55 IS lens, which actually surprised me how good it is. In day light this lens perform very well, is sharp at all apertures and have great colors. It comes with both caps. With this kit you will also receive LG Pro SD 4G card. 550D is very picky for the good SD card, fast enough to take HD video and RAW pictures at the same time. I went through 6 cards to find one with is fast enough. Well, LG Pro SD is perfect for 550D.
Price for all is 897K, including free shipping in Korea. Price at Canon Korea is still 1.16 Million, so please don't bring some websites listing gray market prices. Price is good until Sunday Sept. 5, after which camera can be bought from eBay auction.

Gmarket's at 1,037,000. So the buyer would be getting a 10% discount plus SD card and shutter cable.

Is 10% okay for used electronics? Not for me, but the 550D is a good model, so OP will probably get pretty close to asking price IMO.

that's what it would look like. Personally used electronics should be about 40% discounted at a minimum.

I looked into this. Apparently, used Canon products sell at a really good rate. My brother bought Canon lenses, used them for a year or two, then sold them for almost the same price.
Looking back on OPs post, seems that he was able to get his asking price pretty easily for lenses as well.
900 from 1050 is 15%. Probably spot on, though I'd personally have to see it before posting that much cash.

OP, keep me in mind if the sale falls through.

Good lenses retain a high value, even when used. Used cameras are like used cars and most electronics. The value drops like a rock when first purchased.

Not really, good cameras as well, check prices on used Nikon D700 or Canon 5D Mark II. 2-3 years old models are still selling within 15-20% of the new one.

@JeonjuTeacher: is this camera still avail? I think I'm interested, just still trying to wrap my guts around the trust & deposit money thing.. Just being safe. I'm in Daegu.

Any scratches or problems with the camera? Could I see a pic? So you're selling this cam for an upgrade?
Also kinda new to this forum so I can't PM.

I wasn't trying to bust you on the post, Jeonju. The 550 is a nice camera. Plus with the extras, the price isn't bad.

If the camera is in mint condition, it should make someone a happy owner.

Best of luck with the sell/sale Very Happy
