| I'll have to watch it again. I went in the cinema half cut from too many beers over lunch so the film, coupled with the uncomfortable seat I was in was kind of like torture. |

One thing I love about Korea is their obsession with Steven Segal.
I can watch his movies and laugh, until I cry, then I start laughing again
In Europe, a Dutch told me that he thought Inception stank- the best action scenes were in the trailer. |

I'm trying my best not to ragepost here about how anyone who didn't love this movie, thought it was boring, predictable, confusing or stupid is a moron who has the IQ of a grapefruit and the attention span of a fish, or is lying and trying to be cool by going against the grain, both of which probably loved Star Wars: Episode II.
I'm really trying not to do that. |

| I thought the movie was great. Arnold's character was all like "I'll be back." And the liquid metal guy was all like "Where's John Connor?" And then then the woman with three boobs flashed everyone. |

Oh I gotit. It really wasn't that complex. Less complex by far than say a film lik e'Vanilla sky' which I didn;t rate that high either.
I just thought Inception could benefit from a slower pace and more atmosphere rather than being a cgi steadycam fest. Should have been made by Kubric were he still alive.
BTW - I'm one of the only people I know who only had to watch the Gorgeous 'Youth Without Youth' once to get it.
Actually I'm the only person I know who watched it, but still.
I'll bet you liked Memento right? Thought it was cutting edge...
I find Nolan's over indulgence in plot convolution to point towards OCD. |

I trying my best not to write a ragepost about movie buffs who fancy themselves intellectually to the point where they have to lambast the general public in a pathetic attempt to stroke their ego. |

The thing is 'Inception' is not a film a real cinephile would fancy; only a person who fancied himself a cinephile.
It's like a wanna be literary snob lambasting people for 'not getting' the depth of Stephen King.

| I liked the way they left the ending open to interpretation. The top just keeps spinning. Was it a dream, or did he just put a lot of mustard on it? |

| Thought it was a good film, though the ending was slightly ambiguous. |

This exactly. Magnolia would also be a good example.
I didn't say it was predictable in order to seem superior to others and make people know it. I said it because that was my opinion. The idea of going into dreams, and people saying 'I'm unsure what is real or dream', for example.
Does it not remotely give a little idea of how the ending might end. Perhaps, you become unsure of whether it's real or a dream?
It's just an elaborated hollywood cliche in that sense.
But still, I couldn't possibly say it sucks, since it was obviously well done. |

I agree with you almost entirely, except Magnolia being too fast paced and a CGI fest, but...
Am I really stupid, or was Inception entirely unpredicable? I generally rate a film's predictability on a pass or fail basis. Do people watch the beginning and say, "Dude, they are TOTALLY gonna wake up on a plane in the end, successfully modify that dude's subconcious successfully." |

I can only assume this was sarcasm. In fact the whole post seems ambiguously sarcastic. I'm confused! (the way a real man's film should make me) |
