After I finish my contract, my wife and I want to spend a couple of weeks in her hometown in the Philippines, and then we will go to the U.S. We have accumulated quite a bit of stuff while in Korea, and we can't bring all of it to the Philippines. We would rather leave it in Korea while we are in the Philippines, and then come back to Korea to get everything before departing for America.

Since I will no longer be working in Korea at that time (I won't have my E2 and my wife won't have her F3 visa anymore), will she be allowed to re-enter Korea when we come back from the Philippines? Filipinas cannot enter Korea visa-free, so is anyone familiar with another type of temporary visa she can qualify for?

C3, short term visitor (tourist visa). It will be difficult to get but not impossible since she has an old F3 in the passport.

Not sure what the current processing time in Manila is for Pinays applying for a C3 (no confirmation number). Used to be weeks - just be prepared for a long visit in the islands.

Good news for you is that you get a 1 year stamp (balikbayan) on arrival for being married to her so the length of your stay there is not a big issue.

Another option would be use use regular parcel post to send your stuff back home. It should take a while so you will have ample time to visit in the PI before your stuff arrives in the states.

Thanks to everyone who replied.

I'll post an update, just in case anyone else winds up in a similar situation. I was able to extend my E2 visa (and my wife's F3) for one month after my contract's ending date, and then Immi gave us re-entry permits that were valid until our new visa dates (i.e. until the end of the one-month extention period). So after my contract ended we were able to go to the Philippines and come back on our old visas.

Not sure if immigration always does that, but it's something to consider.
