How fast can a school or recruiter get a person a job in Korea?

I had a job lined up - but the documents have still not come through (different country however) for mid September.

So now I would like to find a job quickly - since my goal was August to September - now it looks like it might be October - since things didn't happen as they should.

Have BS in Education and several years experience - and yes I know there are people who have more qualifications.

Definitely want a larger city (not rural) and it doesn't have to be Seoul.

Korea's closed. Sorry. Smile It shouldn't take long. Once you have everything, expect two weeks until you get something lined up and another two weeks till you get here. Are you female? Im guessing so by your name, and you have a degree in Education (like me Smile ) and that bodes well for you. GL!

Given all the factors, you should actually be able to find something in Seoul paying well, assuming you're willing to work at a hagwon with the long hours that entails. My friends who are certified have had no issue finding jobs for 2.6-2.7 working kindie hagwons in Kangnam/Apgu, though not having experience in Korea would make that bit more difficult.

As long as you have a TEFL/CELTA certification, or a degree in Education or TESL, and are female, you should be able to get a job at a Hagwon lined up and be in Korea in anywhere between 4 and 6 weeks.

If you want a PS postion... Sorry, all positions are full until the next intake in Feb/Mar, 2011.

Good Luck with the job hunt.

Before the new visa laws and now the new new visa laws it could take less than a day. Send everything by email, same day get a responce. Have phone interview the same day and then they email the contact the same day.

I had quite a nice job, but it was a 3 year Max. place, thus had to leave. That one took less than a day. I saw the add at 1:00 AM, sent my stuff by email, and (see above) had the contract by email by 4:00 PM same day. So, that one took 15 hours. One I have now took over 3 months.
