Is the one in Seoul open yet? When I was there last (a couple months ago) they were re-modeling I believe, and Kyobo kind of operated in the Subway. I'd love to go and poke around there and YP--time for new time-passers!

I was there a few weeks ago and they told me it would open back up on August 27th. So, it should be open now, but I haven't tried it yet.

Yep, definitely open and it looks impressive from the pictures I have seen.

Yes, it's open again. I've been twice since it reopened last Friday. It's worth a visit. It's certainly better than it was before it closed. Naturally, it was rammed to the rafters both times.

Is this the store in Gwanghwamun? If so, I'm excited to go see what they've done to the place.

It's better... but not amazing. Still a book store in a basement.

I have to agree with the Captain. I was disappointed when I first went in early on the Monday after they opened it up. Looked around, and shrugged my shoulders on what the big deal was about. I was thinking "Kyobo, the flagship store, this ought to be something special" and it wasn't. Oh, well....

Went yesterday, and to be honest, other than the layout change, I couldn't tell much was done. Oh well

A much larger selection of English books (or so it seemed to me). They also have a much better selection of language learning books for languages other than English or Korean.
