One month ago: 'This is the end of the rainy season, don't worry'. Ah yes.
That must be why it's predicted to rain every day for the next week, after a month of almost permanent rain.

Good thing I love rain.

I seem to recall last year's rainy season being mid-July to mid-August. This year it felts like we got very little rain until just recently.

I long for the days when I didn't have to have my umbrella with me at all times.

I'm not sure what you mean by that. I've been a long time resident of the Pac NW and Seoul gets more inches of rain per year than Vancouver/Portland/Seattle.

I prefer rainy and humid to hot and humid any day.

Personally, I like Korea's weather. When it gets hot in the summer, it's only briefly, before the rain shows up and ceases the scorching hot sun. Then it's cold winters, but at least in the winter you can cover up to keep warm.

Then again I'm used to incredibly hot, dry and blaringly sunny summers back in the States. Personally I just hate the sun. Don't know why, it's just like a bug that's flying around your face all the time. Can't look in it's direction, it sunburns you, makes half of your body uncomfortable at a time, no thanks.

I noticed Koreans have a lot a faith in specific dates. "Today is blah-blah day, the last day of the hot summer." Then the next week temperatures are the hottest all month.

I also heard about the end of rainy season over a month ago. And then I heard that August broke the record for most rain days in a month.
