Recently I got rid of the Korean anti virus programs, V3 and the medicine one, on my work computer and replaced them with avast. had a tough time getting rid of V3. It kept reinstalling itself no matter what I did. Eventually I hit end task while it was installing. Enough of it was installed to avoid it trying to reinstall itself again, but enough was installed so it was fully functional.
Anyways my co-teacher wanted to give a class a listening test in my class today. When she plugged in her portable hard drive avast blocked a virus. She was surprised when I told her she had a virus. She said that her anti-virus didn't report any viruses. I asked if she had V3. Which of course she did, so I explained that V3 isn't very good. Thankfully my computer wasn't infected. Thanks to avast. |

What virus was it? Sure it just wasn't picking up the autorun? |

Yeah I put avast on my parents computer (as I couldn't trust them, I'd never run an anti virus myself) and it freaked out the first time I plugged a flash drive into it.
As the previous poster said, what was the virus? Did you remove it? |

don't recall the name of the virus. It automatically moved it to the virus chest. But considering how many viruses Korean computers have, it's not too hard to imagine that it was a real virus. |

Ya. My school connects about an mp3 player a day to transfer listening files and a good half I would say are infected with a virus. Thank goodness for Autorun eater. That blocks most autorun viruses for me. |
