I know how to get to Busan, but have no idea where the ferry to Japan is or how to get from the port to Shibuya. |

Are you talking about a place in Tokyo? Probably best to fly if you want to go to Tokyo unless you get a JR train pass and spend a week. The ferry goes to Fukuoka from Busan which is very far from Tokyo and Seoul.

Fly, you'd better fly.
Airfare between KOR and JPN is by no means cheap, especially to/from Tokyo, but traveling overland doesn't save much if not at all even if you're willing to trade time for money and get the cheapest deal such as 'KOR-JPN Combined Ticket.'
In addition, if you can read Korean or appropriate help, then there's a website (www.072.com) offering some interesting 'last minute' deals to both Haneda and Narita. Worth checking it out. |

That's like saying, "How do I get from Beijing to Itaewon?"
Shibuya is a district inside Tokyo, so if you want to go there, you need to go to Tokyo first. You wouldn't take a ferry that far, you'd fly. You can take an express train from Narita Airport to Shibuya for about $40 and it takes about an hour. |

Probably so, but like I said, this one is the express train. I just took it 2 weeks ago. |

shibuya is in tokyo, japan. thats on the east coast. the ferry doesnt go there. you will have to either fly to haneda airport or narita airport.
from there you will have to take the subway. shibuya is next to shinjuku and not far from harajuku.
if im not mistaken, those stops are all along one subway line. they are all on the circle line.
you would do best flying into haneda, taking the subway to shinagawa and then transfering to the circle line.
the whole journey will take you roughly 60 mins. |
