Apparently it's the pride of Pyongyang? Taedonggang Beer.
Anyone know where to find this stuff in Seoul? |

Yea, they also have some NK "scotch" at the DMZ that you could use to strip the paint off a super-tanker. |

I wonder how good that beer NK beer is? A decent light natural lager?
I was surprised how good and natural Myanmar beer is. It's a light refreshing easy to drink lager with very little hangover. Too bad it's not available outside Myanmar. |

It's actually really good. They basically shipped in a British Brewery part by part. |

That's pretty much the same deal as San Miguel and Bintang. |

No problem. I've never ordered through them before though but it seems like the best place to order from after a quick search. You should let us know how it works out if you make an order through them. The easiest way would probably be to get a Korean friend to place the order if you can't do it yourself, and then you can do a transfer through your bank at the machine (계좌이체) so that you can pay it yourself straight away instead of asking the friend to pay and then giving them the money. |

It's been quite some time since I've been to one, but I know that the Wa Bar chain used to carry it by the bottle. A bit pricey, but it beats the pants off of any local swill I've tried. |

Taedong River Brewery was one of the nicer things about visiting the north. Cost a couple of Chinese Yuan for a nice big bottle of awesome. |

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Korean_beer
This wiki article on South Korean beer says the big three are mostly brewed from rice!
Is that possible? I'm no beer expert but I don't think you can get even nasty Korean beer from rice. |

Bud also uses rice in the brewing process. |
