My wife and 15 year old son are looking to get new glasses. They need a simple exam and glasses. They speak absolutely 0 Korean, and are looking for someone who can conduct the exam in English. We would prefer someone south of the Han River. I know any eye glass store will conduct an exam, but it is tough finding someone who speaks English. Any suggestions? Thanks. |

would recommend you to send your family to a doctor to get their eyes examined.
i dont trust those glasses store clerks anymore after they messed up my eyes by selling my contact lenses that werent properly fitted to my eyes (although they did all the measurements at the store beforehand).
i know a good doctor south of the river. they speak several languages there. german, english and korean. the front desk staff is short on foreign languages tho.
google good morning eye clinic or gm eye clinic.
its located right by sin non hyeon subway station exit 2, above the shinhan bank (i believe its a shinhan) and across the street from the kyobo book tower.
its not expensive to get the examination done and they will also write everything down for you so you can go to an optician, point out the frame you want and get the glasses made. |

How much is an eye exam and simple glasses here?
I'm wondering if it would be cheaper to get a new pair of glasses here or wait until I get back home. |

I used to get mine from this place near Nonhyun Station. I can't remember the exit, but it's on the right hand side of the street if you are on Gangnamdae-ro walkign towards Gangnam Station. Good prices. |

Outside the emart checkout at Yongsan there's a glasses shop where they speak good english. I usually get mine at Sindorim Technomart.
Exams are free, glasses usually around 80,000 |
