Hear ye, hear ye....the Bundang Book Exchange comes to August!
If you just want to stay local, here's your chance to get some free reads and, more importantly, get some beers and all-day breakfast.
We'll be at Traveller's Pub in AK Plaza/Seohyeon for a few hours, but if you miss the scheduled times, come anyway - we usually leave leftover books at Pub210, where Min has been so lovely as to build a bookshelf for us!
We're calling this on a Sunday this month (it alternates, so next month we'll be back to Pub210 on a Friday.) Get outta bed, shake off your hangover or just take a break from being on your lonesome or with that annoying but significant other on a Sunday afternoon. Seriously, you'll feel better for doing something.
What: A casual gathering of people with or without books to trade. Come in, throw your books on the table, have a beer or many and pick up a few books to take with you. There are no rules on what you can bring, and what you take.
Where: Traveller's Pub (Seohyeon Station, Bundang Line).
When: Sunday, August 15th, 2010 - 2:00 p.m. - 4:00'ish p.m.
Who: Anyone who has some books to share - or anyone who just wants a Sunday afternoon beer or cider or ALL-DAY breakfast! with some friendly strangers
Why: Because everyone needs some free books every once in awhile, and not everyone lives in Seoul.
Please let me make it perfectly clear that this isn't a book club - although we might talk about books, we might also talk about aliens, the meaning of life, the best place to find kimchi that doesn't taste too fishy, the new restaurant that we found that you don't yet know about, measypeasy's boobs and/or the meaning of life (again, after a few more beers).
Come meet some new people in your neighbourhood who just always happen to be doing super fun things and can hook you up later in life. Networking, guys, networking.
Let us know if you're coming so we can be excited to expect you... |

Directions!:
Seohyeon Station take gate 6 - go out of the building and walk straight to end of block (don't cross the street yet).
It's on the ABC Mart / KFC side. You will see Dunkin Donuts and Kyobo Books in front of you. Turn left and walk straight.
The sidewalk turns left but you will cross the street and enter the building in front of you. Just remember to look for the Travelers sign before crossing the street (building to the right). Look for the sign on the third floor, which you can see outside the building.
Walk into the building - the elevators are on your left! At the third floor, walk outta the elevator and straight into the bar! |

I'd be up for one if there was another one. But I mostly have graphic novels and comic books from the States. That work? |

Sorry guys, I don't come on here much. * ^^ *
There won't be a September exchange because it's already so packed for everyone, but there will be an early October exchange at Pub210 at AK Plaza.
Bundang book exchanges are (usually) held once a month -
Fridays at Pub210 (you can get cheap mixed drinks if you'd like)
Sundays at Traveler's Pub (mimosas, all-day breakfast and an extensive menu)
Ovid - yep, you can bring anything or nothing, there are no rules! |

If there will be another weekend book exchange some times, can you post it here a week or two in advance.
I don't live in Bundang, so anything other than a weekend, I can't make it. |
