|
|
My university wireless internet won't quite reach my 1st floor apartment nextdoor, but if I go up to the 4th floor rooftop it works just fine. So I want to buy one of those outside wireless antennas to put on the 4th floor rooftop and run the coax/wire down to my apartment.
I don't think one of those little black rubber duck/plugs into the computer wireless antennas will work, by the way. Do they sell the outdoor antennas at Yongsan, etc.? Anybody know? Thanks............. |

You could buy a wireless repeater and put it on the 2nd or 3rd floor. The repeater will basically "extend" the wireless range.
Or, you could buy a wireless ethernet bridge, stick the antenna/bridge on the roof and run a long ethernet cable from the bridge to your room.
Not sure how it will handle the elements though. Maybe you can stick it in a ziplock baggy and tape it to the roof so it stays put. |
