Are there any decent courts in Itaewon?
Used to live right by Yonsei, but moved over here a few months ago. Wouldn't mind finding one.
Any sort of court will do (except maybe dirt courts in schoolyards). Just want a place to go play when I feel like it. |

Anyone really mediocre at pick-up?
I'd like to play with people are weekend warriors and basically couldn't make the varsity or JV squad of their high school teams due to lack of athleticism and talent.
That way, I'll fit right in and not get injured trying to keep up with gazelles and cheetahs. |

| Just an update...I went to Yonsei this Saturday and played from 330 to about 6 or so. Nice outside courts...not too slippery or anything. Many people are around and the competition ranges from easy to pretty good. Played a few 5 on 5 games, then when more people were around it seems the norm is to play halfcourt games. All in all, very fun and a good place to get a run in. |

Good to hear. Do they play on weekdays too?
I also heard there's a gym at Yonsei but not sure if they require membership/student ID to get in? |

| I play at Olympic park, but it's usually half court. The play isn't bad, but I need full court or some place with a bit more competition. Anyone have any suggestions for someone living near Jamsil? |

BUMP
Does anyone know of any indoor gyms available in the Sinchon area? Is there an indoor gym at Yonsei University available to anyone? I'm ok with paying money to use it but don't know if it's available.
I'm even willing to play with other people if there's an indoor court available where I'd pitch in money for use of the indoor court. If anyone knows please let me know. |

WE rent the gym Sundays at 245- 5PM
Cost is 15 dollars, and will be limited to the first 20 players
No money is made from this, the cost of the gym is 1,650,000 a month to rent.
Ppl say why pay when you can play outside for free - well you pay for the facility and the consistent game. You can go to the park and hope for a game. Plus in Korea if you don't have 5 it's hard to get on some courts, and for some bizarre reason they play 2 halves to 20.
If you play with us, it's good spirited, English speakers, clean, and competitive and fun. Personally I'm over 30 so I don't need to catch a patch of gravel on the court and hurt myself. Nor do I want to put up a weak game.
This run has been going on for 10+ years, and is made of up of Kyopos, expats and native Koreans
We play full court, in doors. The facility is nice air conditioned / heated in season
Showers and parking available
Its a competitive run but no one is joining the nba anytime soon
Come run hard and you'll have fun.
Gangnam Station - Go out Exit 4
Walk Straight - take your 4th LEFT (There will be a CHILSUNG CIDER factory)
On your right will be KOLON sporex - go up to the 3rd floor |
