Went for a run this morning because of the nice weather. The first half of my run with shoes, the 2nd half barefoot as I try to transition fully. Hid my shoes behind a wall under a bush. Returned to find only my socks.

1) Who would steal a worn pair of running shoes?
2) You obviously watched me put them there because it would be nearly impossible to just come across them.
3) Seriously why did you steal my shoes?

I know this is almost entirely my fault, but still sucks.

All it takes is one homeless person to grab a pair of shoes. Socks are a bit more personal. If I were homeless, I could take the shoes, but the socks, well, you know, they absorb direct sweat...

I've been to restaurants and have seen numerous people complain about their shoes being stolen. Some people take just to take I think.

Think of it as a way to transition faster. Very Happy

I've been a runner most of my adult life - but I can't ever remember 'transitioning'. Is that like collapsing in the shower completely knackered after a big run?????

Anyway, never mind the shoes. Why did that .... take my umbrella from the supermarket umbrella bin????

Sorry, I fell into the Han river from a bridge and had to discard my own shoes to prevent from sinking.

I thought your's had been abandoned when I saw them as I crawled onto the bank.

You can have them back if you like, but I doubt you'd want them now.

Maybe they wanted to feel what it was like to walk in your shoes...or perhaps the high soles of your shoes put them just over 180cm.

1. someone who needs or wants shoes
2. maybe they thought you were trashing em
3. because I wanted too HAHAHAHA.

Sorry bad taste, I do find it odd that someone would take them when you see people leave their shoes outside apts all the time. It was a public spot and maybe some adjumma thought you were being rude by hiding shoes under a bush.

Might i suggest a tiny backpack/slingpack to stuff em in and run with em

The transition is trying to move from shoe running to barefoot running. I can't jump right into the same distances barefoot because it kills my feet before my feet develop the appropriate "ruggedness"

I've developed some discomfort in my ankles and read a bit about how barefoot running reduces the stress on your joints because of the natural springyness of your foot. So, I'm trying it out.
