Uh, I am pretty sure that you are not allowed to camp on that beach.
And I am 100% sure that you can not make a fire, there are huge signs everywhere that say as much. A few years ago they took some foreigners to jail for making a fire on the beach. |

Hahahahahaha, that's the best one I've heard all week. Listen Jack,
we (as well as thousands of Koreans) have been camping on that beach
for about the last ten years. And Poindexter, if you can read Korean,
the signs say to make fires in provided steel fire pits only. Also, "took
some foreigners to jail"? What are you on dude? Crystal meth?
I remember a couple of years ago the Korean police came to the
beach in a hovercraft, yeah no lie, and had a beer with us in our camp.
No camping on Seopori, what a newb! |

Yeah, I'm totally down for that as usual. I know a lot of ultimate people
are going this year. Should be a blast. I dunno about the century club
though. I puked for about four days after the last time.
Who's the boyscout who said no camping??? |

I've never been, but every conversation I've had involving Deokjeokdo has revolved around camping and fires. |

I went to Deukjuk last year. Not during Chuseok though. A few drunk idiots ruined that trip for me.
I'm riding a bike with my gf along that bike path. A group of 5 drunks morons thought it would be fun to shoot off Roman Candles directly at the path and around us.
I'm pretty sure this event would be a classic case of "Foreigners behaving badly". |

Haha, I remember we had drunken roman candle fights. Totally fun. |

I guarantee more Koreans than foreigners shoot of Roman candles in a dangerous manner.
I camped on Deokjeokdo this year on the beach in front of the lifeguard station. No one cares. We built a fire that night on the beach, too, without a problem.
The lifeguards did try to shut down the beach around 6pm. At 6:30, some of us were swimming again. They told us to get out, we ignored them, and they left.
No one was arrested. |

Also, who stole beach dog? He was a small older dog with sand-colored fur. One of the shop owners owned that dog and started crying when we inquired about it. They think someone simply took him off the beach.
If you have beach dog, please return him and make an old couple's pain cease. |

It is a true story believe it or not.
However, I did leave out the part that they were burning a couch from the pension they were staying in. That might have had something to do w/ the jail. Just maybe. |

Lovely place, load of kunts on the beach tho. Last time I was there, it was like a frat party. People were swinging off the old trees that line the beach, breaking off branches for their bonfire. I've no problem with camping but that was not cool. |

Deukjuk Island, where common sense and courtesy gets torpedoed. |

Ah, I did hear something about some mighty whities burning stuff from
a pension. There were a few abandoned ones behind the beach. That's
not cool. But I never heard they went to the pokey. I guess stories get
better as time goes by.
I remember years ago a big whitey called Matt and his skanky Korean
GF would go to the beach. Matt was a loud, obnoxious, violent drunk.
Anyway, his KGF got more drunk and kicked him into the bonfire.
Another time another whitey, while waiting for the ferry home, jumped off
the pier. Cops just shook their heads and walked away.
Deokjeok is like a pressure valve. I think it is good. |
