"Craigslist appears to have surrendered in a legal fight over erotic ads posted on its website, shutting down its adult services section Saturday and replacing it with a black bar that simply says 'censored.'
"The move comes just over a week after a group of state attorneys general said there weren't enough protections against blocking potentially illegal ads promoting prostitution. It's not clear if the closure is permanent, and it appears to only affect ads in the United States...."

Considering that such ads can be found on numerous other websites, what difference will this make? And what about a constitutional right to privacy as recognized by the US Supreme Court? Can't people make their own decisions about whether or not to view or respond to such ads without the authorities butting in? |

1. I think they targeted Craigslist because it's such a well known and popularly used site.
2. Who's having their right to privacy violated? How?
3. I think they should be able to, but as of now the solicitation of sex is illegal in the U.S. |

Nevada has legal brothels (the only state in the U.S.), soliciting sex is still illegal. |

The bigger concern in my mind is the many cases of trafficking and child prostitution on craigslist. The self censored, they weren't forced to by the courts. |
