I am having a strange internet problem in the past few weeks.
At certain times of the day, there are a select few websites that I frequent that either won't load or take years to finally load and AOL Instant messenger doesn't work during these times either. These websites are not down as I have friends who can access these pages when I can't.
Then, I recently downloaded an IP tunnel or something to access ESPN3.com to watch college football games, and I realized that when I had this IP blocker thing running, these websites all started working when they usually didn't.
I'm pretty good with computers, but I'm completely lost at what the problem is here. I have tried getting the cable/internet company out here, but they have been useless so far.
Is this something on my end, or is it on the internet providers end?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

Around 7 in the evening? I usually find my performance plummets around then. I assume it's peak time for everyone getting home and jumping on the net. |

Yes, starting around 7:30-8pm until 1am or so is often the times it's happening. But during these times, almost all sites work, just a select few of my usual sites don't work.
But during these times, when I put on the IP blocker, the websites load with no problem. There has to be something going on besides just low bandwith.
Any ideas? |
