Hey,

I'm down in Busan, and looking to spend 2 days somewhere in Korea with my gf. Open to all suggestions and ideas!

Can anyone reccommend anywhere?

I like sokcho/naksan beach. Water should still be warm.

Jirisan is really nice for hiking

If you're girlfriend is Korean, then you should definitely ask her. Assuming that she's not Korean, I second Jirisan. I'm going there myself, hopefully.

I'm in the same situation and trying to decide between the southern islands, ulleungdo, or jiri-san. All good options that don't require KTX.

Samcheok is nice for a few days. Beautiful beaches with no crowds, *beep* sculpture park and a big cave.

Jeju.

Not crowded. Still 28 C here in the afternoons. Water is warm. Best time to hit the beaches for some quiet r & r or leisurely scooting around the coastal road.

For which dates? I was hoping to get the KTX to Busan from Seoul on the Sunday after Chuseok.

Even the first class? First class is worth the extra money.

My co-teacher said that KTX is only sold out leaving Seoul, not going to Seoul? Was thinking of spending 2 nights in Seoul to see all the sights, then spend a day in Gyeongju and a day at Seoraksan?
My girlfriend is not Korean btw.

The Bamboo Forest looks pretty cool and I've heard good things about it. Boseong, where they grow the green tea, is a nice place to visit.

No it's not

slightly bigger seats, free wifi but the arm rests don't go up. Would much rather have had my girl friend sleeping on me than the 20 minutes we used the wifi

4/5 of us here in geoje are renting a car and driving up the east coast and back down through the middle of Korea. we have only three places in mind. A day in gyeong ju, 2 nights in seoraksan and a night in daegu.

What we hit and where we go inbetween these places is still wide open.

Should make for a fun trip.
