This is kind of job related, so I hope this forum is OK for this question.
Does anyone know if the travel insurance packages sold at Incheon
Airport cover you when you travel to your home country?
Of course I've asked and they claim "Yes". This may seem like a stupid question... but seems to me I've read on the net (perhaps even on Dave's, but I couldn't find it) that travel insurance packages offered there are actually only good for travel in any country except your native one. I remember reading that they will smile and sell you the insurance - should something happen while on vacation - that is when you learn that you aren't covered.
Can anyone confirm or dispute this? Thanks. |

This question has been discussed here before, but I have never found a policy that clearly covered me on travel to my home country while on vacation but living in Korea. |

Thank you for your reply and for confirming my sanity. ^^
I haven't been able to locate the previous posts on this topic. Hope it wasn't
me who started that thread. |

I just went home to Canada this summer and got travel insurance at the airport with AIG. I used to use Samsung but they don't offer insurance to your home country anymore.
When I was home, my father told me that I could have also gotten insurance from a Canadian compay. He recommended CAA but I didn't look into it. |

Great. Thanks a lot. I'll check with AIG at the airport. |
