Typically for the basic set-up/package... just curious to what you all are paying (in/out of Seoul) in comparison to myself.

Package price depends on available bandwidth.

Your average cable TV/internet pack is in the 15-20k range and is usually about 1-2mbps service.

The "lite" packages from the major players run about 30k won and 10mbps service.

The full service packs are 35-40k and up to 100mbps service.

If you are really full on then look for the FDDH service in the 60k won range and 1gbps service.

All prices are excluding tax.

I wish I still had the internet I had in Korea.

Here in Australia it's super slow and ridiculously expensive. I'm paying $60 a month for 3 GB of internet here.

In Korea, it was between 30 and 35,000 Won and you could use as much as you wanted. Some day Australia will catch up.

Yeah with all the capping of internet there's not much point improving the speed in Australia. Any faster and your internet will run out in a day.

When i moved in to my officetel it was already connected. I got monthly bills under the previous tenet's name and tried to disconnect and get my own set up but SK said the previous person would have to disconnect it.

18 months later the cable was disconnected but internet is going strong, over 10 TB down and well over 30 up. With my highest torrent download speed at around 11mB/sec

So for me the internet is free
