Hello everyone. I would like to get a couch to Seoul and am curious how I should go about doing this? Is there a good freight shipping company? Do I need to rent a van?

Obviously the cheapest option would be the best and I'm willing to do just about anything to get it there. I will likely need to do this over a weekend. Please email me or respond to this post if you have any good advice, thank you!

ALSO, is there anyone out there that makes the route (Daejeon to Seoul, and back) regularly? I would be willing to pay you if I could tag a long with a couch and a few small items...it's a long shot, I know. Thanks for reading though!

I think most moving services will make the trip. I have no idea what it would cost, I would assume 100k-150k at most, you may be able to get it for cheaper. I would have a Korean look into it for you.

I think a moving truck would be at least 150,000, and that would be a good deal. Unless you could piggy back your item with other cargo, but that would be a long shot. I'm thinking gas and tolls alone would be over 80,000 won

I used these guys when I moved from Daegu to Seoul:

They picked up, stored for 1 month, and delivered my stuff for 300,000. Delivery from Daegu was around 100,000 I think. Daejeon may be a little cheaper. Have a Korean call, they don't speak English.
