most of them cost and most of us don't need them..so I can't say many here would know a lot.

I've seen co-workers with them. Stuff for learning vocabulary mainly. I wasn't really interested so I don't remember what it was called or exactly how they worked. Never-the-less, i'm sure your students could tell you more. I'm also sure that you could get pirated software as well.
