Not siamese, but I posted on this forum about Batman the rescue kitty. I'll copy and paste my post here to save you looking for it.
:Batman the three month old kitten needs a good home.
I found him by the Han River - and right away he was very sociable and affectionate, so we think he was abandoned rather than born feral. He passed the first round of health checks with flying colors and will return to the vet early next week for the all-clear and vaccinations, which I will take care of.
I cannot keep him as my 11 year-old cat is way too stressed out over the little visitor. I think he is too used to being in a one-cat household to adjust to a kitten.
Batman ( you can change his name of course ) is male, super-affectionate, very easy to entertain, and shows no behaviour problems. I really want to find a good home for him, particularly with someone who will make a committment to taking him for the long-haul. He would be ideal for long-termers or someone willing to take him home when contracts end. He is far too special a little critter to be abandoned again.
I will take care of any initial health costs and vaccinations. He comes with a little yellow carrying case and a bag of his kitten food and some toys. I even have a leopard-print cat cave to donate, as my older cat doesn't use it at all.
If you are interested, please contact me by pm or or on thread. You can also call me at 010-3754-8117.
He is black and white, and looks like Charlie Chaplin with Batman ears on.

what's with all the hate for pet stores? i bought my cat from a pet store in seomyeon, and i'm sure he appreciates having a steady supply of food and new toys and a variety of comfortable places to sleep instead of the small glass box he was spending every day in at the store. |

Because as long as people are disgusting enough to continue to purchase animals from pet stores, people will continue to churn out animals on breeding farms and there will always be a large number of stray or unwanted pets. There are sooooooooooo many stray and unwanted pets, why not adopt?
If you can read korean, go to the karama website, look at the breeds of dogs that are abandoned. They are mostly unwanted pure breeds, maltese and Pomeranians. |

I agree with Robotco. Buying a cat from a pet store is just as ethical as taking in a stray, maybe more so. In pet stores, kittens are kept only until they pass the cute stage of 4 months or so and then they are culled. Believe it or not people, humans are not the be and and end all gods that we think ourselves to be. The felines that inhabit Korea have done so for thousands of years and thrived. One might almost argue that they are happier and more fulfilled living naturally and hunting as they have be evolutionarily programmed to do. The purebreds in the stores, in fact, haven't a hope in hell. Many are born susceptible to kidney problems, and the ones with pushed in faces, like the persians, would die of eye infections within days if forced to live outside. I'm not saying that I agree with the idea of catteries, but saving a feline life is saving a feline life. By fervently despising catteries, you often miss the point and become a proponent for a principle rather than for a reality. |

you are missing the point entirely, they are breeded, treated poorly, born with susceptible kidney problems because people CONTINUE TO BUY THEM. Stop buying from pet stores, puppy/kitty mills will stop producing them. |

BB I do agree with you, but one person making a choice not to use pet stores stop nothing, and does save the life of one kitten that might be otherwise culled. In fact a person could choose a funny looking cat, or one that is slightly older and sure to slated for euthanasia. I guess I just have a more harm-reduction based approach to this. That said, catteries are pretty terrible places, but then so are meat-packing plants and furriers. What are you gonna do I guess. |

One person can make a difference. That is how it starts, with one person. "What are you gonna do I guess." Is that you are going to stop buying from pet stores. |

Sorry guys, but I fail to see how it took you so long to get what mm was saying. Watch some videos or do some research on puppy/kitten mills and you'll think twice about helping to keep that system going. I won't even bother going into the "what can one person do" argument. That's the main reason we, as a species, are in as much trouble as we are right now.
