Greetings to all incoming ESL teachers for the September start, and all others ongoing.
I have put a great deal of time and effort into providing a free ESL website with a view to improving the world a little by incorporating meaningful, stimulating content into ESL teaching/learning material.
There are about 400 pages on topics including animals/zoology; personal, national and organisational information and characteristics; basic maths, chemistry and physics; nutrition; human physiology; disease; famous Korean historical people; Korean history; plants/botany; society; ethics; and Confucius' Analects.
The material is generally in the form of lines of english with Korean vocabulary under each word, and a Korean translation under each sentence.
The material is provided in both MSWord and pdf files, mostly as two-page files that can be easily printed out on double-sided pages for easy distribution. Alternatively there are two indexed books containing all the material, that can be printed at most of the little printing shops throughout Korea. And of course it can be brought up onto the screen(s) in your classfoom.
The website is the Multifactor ESL English website at:
http://sites.google.com/site/multifactoreslenglish
I'd be grateful for any feedback you would provide.
Regards,
David Vance.

Good lord. That is a lot of content.

I admire the effort that you went through in order to make these, but you could really benefit from a designer (both for the website and worksheets).

If this is just a database for teachers to get material, it's OK. But the worksheets themselves need a lot of work design-wise as the amount of information is overwhelming and distracting.

When I think back to my days studying Korean, I can still remember those cheesy hand-drawn pictures of parks and airports. A few visuals would break up your word-heavy worksheets nicely.

Ya. That IS a lot of text. And it's all translated into Korean as well. I'm sure it represents a lot of hard work on your part, but it could really benefit from some editting. Format the text a bit. Throw in a few images.

This stuff has been linked here before & I just dont get it. Complex technical English with Korean translation, sentence after sentence after sentence for hundreds of pages. How on earth is that meant to be instructive or engaging to any student?
