just wanted to know if any of you have used them before..they only have a cell phone # listed, no landline so I'm guessing it's a one man operation operating out of an officetel. hard to get a hold of, also, the 'photos' of the schools listed are just random generic ones which have nothing to do w/the actual one. |

They are legit and have had mixed reviews from different applicants. Some like them, some don't (as you would expect).
They are one (of many) recruiters who are used by the PS POEs (EPIK/GEPIK) for recruitment as well.

I'm one of the ones who likes them. The owner, Ji-yeon, is an acquaintance of mine, and she really is great. I found that she's direct and straight-talking... no bs.
I recommend them before any other recruiter because I had a great experience. However, as ttompatz said, it is to be expected that not everyone will be happy. |

From my experience, Rowan and co. helps out as they can. They also seem to have opted against the Korean policy of info. sharing. ha. Essentially, I had all of the essential paperwork and the like done before arriving in Korea. This is a def. plus |

Planet ESL and ESL PLANET are completely different companies.
Planet ESL is a Korean recruiting company.
ESL PLANET is an Australian/Korean company.
Both work with public Schools.
Jiyeon works with Planet ESL. She is a straight shooter.
Rowan owns ESL PLANET. He is deceptively handsome. |

Just don't submit your resume and photo via the PlanetESL website or it will show up on the site without warning. |

I agree with what others have said - Planet ESL is a totally legit operation. Like any recruiter I'm sure people have had good and bad experiences but mine was very positive. Although I didn't end up being placed through them in the end, Ji-yeon did a ton of work for me and was totally helpful and informative. I also met her in real life once (friend of a friend) and she was very nice! |

Christ, another thing I need to simplify! my already simple enough life.
Well, I guess I've unintentionally provided free advertisement for ESL Planet. |

totally legit. Use them and don't worry.
Just do your own homework and don't be a ninny. It will all work out.

Hi all teachers who are interested in working in Korea. This is Jiyeon at PlanetESL Recruiting. We are always here to listen to your voice of teachers and work our best to meet your needs.
I really appreciate all the teachers who gave good words on us here at ESL Cafe, because we are aware so many of teachers check this forum as well.
For those ones who had doubts or questions, we fixed all the problems that occurred on our website about having your personal info searchable. We secured all of our database and website so that no one can find your personal info anywhere outside either by google or on our website.
We are not one man company. We have 3 full time and 1 part time staffs. The only reason that I listed cell phone number on the website is for anyone to reach me anytime. My intention is to be reached anytime.
You can contact my at any time for inquiries about teaching in Korea at [email protected]
Sincerely,
Jiyeon Kim |
