Just tried D Finish finally. Meh. I'm not even sure its better than OB or Max.

Well, the can that I'm drinking is tasting better as I write this. The bottle was very meh.

It's right on the edge of a decent dry brew. Then again a few degrees warmer and it might be like Blatt's.

Korea really needs to get its act together and start brewing up some Malt Liquor. Get some class Korea.

I want them to cook up an IPA, but that would just be spectacularly bad. Or like some foreign mimicry attempts it could be that 1/100 time that it turns out darn good ala Korean Fried Chicken.

1 Cass pitcher (3600 won - plastic bottle) +
1 Soju (1200 won - glass bottle) green, with red soccer-ball cap.

=

Cheap drunk.

Some of you youngsters will be stuck in Korea forever because you spend all of your money! Rolling Eyes

I could go for a nice, cold Utica Club right now...

Drink like that and you're headed to premature aging and death!

Home brew = cheap drunk = no nasty hangover.

You think they serve higher quality of the same drink at the bars?

Also, Hite D is trash, it's worse than bud lime with the attempt.
Take Hite, which is ass, and add a horrible aftertaste and you get Hite D.

Hite D stands for Hite Ddong of course

My thoughts...

Yes Korean beer sucks. But moving to the bad boys of Milwaukee swill? Hooray. Granted, I was born in Milwaukee, so perhaps this new beer will remind me of home.

Try making some military friends. My buddy brings me Lienies (yes, Leinenkugels, from Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin) and Sam Adams (the Bahston stuff) from time to time, and it's almost cheaper than what it costs in the US.

Is there any sort of open letter to the Korean nation I can write complaining about their beer? They have hands down the worst beer in the world. Not that I've never had a bad beer in the US (Mountain Creek anyone?), but at least there is a choice. Good beer does not exist here.*

(* KaBrew makes some decent stuff, but they aren't even allowed to sell it. I guess because people would then learn how terrible their beer actually is)
Pfff, when I used to go there, I found the Korean beer was better than their brews!

I used to go to Kabrew quite often when they were open up in Mia.

I thought it tasted better than K-beer (though I swear the hefeweizen must've been less than 3% alcohol), but I think it's funny how they refer to themselves as "craft beer." Laughing Stick with the micro-brew label, fellas.

Ka-brew was the cheapest (10,000 won all you could drink!), but I'd definitely rather have beer at any of the other brewpubs: praha, oktoberfest, etc.
