| Radius, I think that I would like your grandmother. Everyone should witness to the witnesses, even nonbelievers...and then if we pray for these witnesses to be effective, maybe the JW's will convert and quit with the door knocking. Then we can work on the Moonies and whoever else...do they still have the Moonies here in Korea? |
haha yea, gotta love Gramma! |

I've met one: She was a Filipino English teacher who moved to Korea because she married a Korean in a mass wedding. |

I think my dad knew some Moonies. Maybe he said he joined briefly? I'm not sure, he did some acid or something. I don't know, sometimes his stories are a bit convoluted.
Anyhow, I always tell people "I believe spirituality is a deeply personal thing. I respect your right to your beliefs, but I am currently satisfied with my own." I actually am an atheist. But I think it's best to be polite and reassure people that I think it's cool they believe in gods or whatever. |

People can believe what they like, as long as I'm left to brush my teeth in peace! |

haha one of the funniest lines I have ever seen . Say that spirituality is a deep thing and then in the next breath saying you are an athiest. Nobody who has a deep spiritual personal thing happening would be an athiest. Only left brained disconnected unspiritual people can make that claim. |

I say Atheist because I don't want to explain that I am agnostic and have a deep crush on science and string theory. But hey, just cuz I am crushin' a little, doesn't mean I am willing to commit without hardcore undeniable evidence. I admittedly don't think about spirituality or philosophy much these days. :/ I had some phases, but I am really lazy.
Anyway, my point is that in spite of the fact that I have never been involved in a religion in my life, I accept that many humans are spiritual creatures. I think a belief in one god is just as valid as a belief in a pantheon of gods which is just as valid as belief in alien overlords. So long as your beliefs don't infringe on my rights or the rights of others, it's all good to me. |
