My girlfriend has a couple of these left and wants to sell them asap so recommended trying here. Copied from craigslist:
http://seoul.craigslist.co.kr/mob/1950963257.html
Everything boxed up and in excellent condition. It has a microSD card slot, 5mp camera with flash, wifi + 3g (so you can connect to the internet anywhere), built in GPS and plays MP3s + videos perfectly. You can download maps (nokia maps or google maps) so it can also be used for satellite navigation. It also has T9 dictionary for fast typing - surprisingly a lot of Korean phones still don't have this. Fantastic phone with loads of features. If you need more information, please email me or use google.
Comes with:
* Nokia 5800 phone
* 2 batteries
* Headphones and handsfree kit
* Strap
* Charger
* USB cable
* All manuals/paperwork
The phone is for use with a KT simcard, which you can get from any KTF (Show) store and then use it with this phone. Just pop in the simcard and off you go. It can be used on both GSM (most western countries) as well as CDMA networks (Korea). The phone can also be unlocked for use with any sim in any country but don't know places that do it in Korea. I know in England almost every market has one of those guys unlocking phones for a small cost.
Collection from Hyewha, Seoul, preferred but can also post it within Korea.
For some reason I can't post pictures here so check the craigslist post.
Price: 125k
Call/txt me on 010 7470 6712

I maybe interested in buying 2 of these. I just have one question, would these working (in roaming mode) in US and Europe? My bf travels a lot to conventions for work and needs a phone that could be based out of seoul but would have basic features for contact during his trips.
Thanks |

Yes, it works on both GSM and CDMA (Korean) networks. If you get them unlocked you can use it with any simcard in any country.

I sent an e-mail through craigslist but I thought I should double up here.
I'm interested in both phones if they are still available.
I can't call because I don't have a phone (hence why I'm interested )
e-mail me back at micahjwheeler AT me DOT com
Thanks  |

I can't say for certain but I think this might be a scam. The guy who posted this has only been on dave's a couple of weeks and the guy who "said" he got his phone and likes it joined the day before he posted that...and who posts a reply message like that anyway? Seems like he's trying to sound like a foreigner but obviously can't pull it off.
Again, just looks a bit off to me so be careful. |

Not a scam. I just asked people who have bought one from me to leave positive feedback in this thread. There are a lot of people that read the forums but don't sign up. Anyway, thank you Samros for taking the time to sign up and leave some positive feedback.
You are welcome to come check out the phone yourself if you are worried about it being a scam. No obligation for anyone to buy if they don't like it
Have a good weekend |

My english is not good but Im still a foreigner here in Korea...read this and you will know where I came from...(ask somebody to translate it for you)
I cant blame you if you think like that maybe you had your reason.
Rory is right, check it if you want to buy.
Just dont judge a person that you dont know yet, coz' you might hurt other peoples feeling specially people who are true to thierself and others.
Take care... |

i bought a phone off of him. overall it's a good deal, though it's my understanding that these phones are supposed to come with an 8 gb micro sd card, not a 4gb, right? so i think he's opening the boxes and swapping them maybe? i dont see any other reason the box was opened, as it didnt come with a screen protector as advertised.
other than that, i'm a satisfied customer. bought a 16gb microsd for 40,000 won and a screen protector. with buying the microsd, though, the phone nearly becomes the same price as just buying it off of gmarket, if that will give you more peace of mind.. |

Thanks for buying one . If you aren't happy with it, feel free to return it for a refund.
The phones are 270k on Gmarket (with no microSD card). If you buy one through KT, they come with a 4gb SD card. I changed the advert after I first put it up to not include an SD card or screen protector as some have them and others don't. However, with almost all of the phones I have given a free 4GB card. I also try to give free screen protectors but seeing as you can buy them for around 1,000krw, I don't see this as too much of a problem if you don't get one. If you had bought the same package from Gmarket it would have set you back 270k + 40k =310k. So, I see 125k (most include a 4gb SD) as a bargain.
These phones are unwanted upgrades. Some have seen slightly more use then others but all are in excellent condition. Either way, the phones are less then half price and can be used to completely replace your internet package as well as being an excellent smartphone in itself.
KT has just upgraded its 55,000 KRW a month package to unlimited WIFI and data. This means you can hook up the phone to your laptop (tethering) via Nokia Ovi software and use it for the internet. OR, if you are in range of any Qook(show) wifi transmitter, you can just connect to it for free. You don't even need a separate internet package anymore. If you don't need this, just take out the cheapest package at around 13,000krw a month with 600 free texts. Will write a little about this in the technology section when I get time this evening. |

Ah, I was mistaken. I thought I saw them on gmarket for 180,000 won. my bad.
i'd be very interesting on that tethering option. i'm on the 35,000 won/month plan currently. |

No problem ^^. I will make a little guide and stick it in the technology forum when I get home tonight. The phone is really a bargain considering it will replace your mp3 player (much better sound quality then almost all other phones), portable video (3.2" 360 x 640 display) and can also replace your internet package all together.
The only thing you would really need to do your end is go into KT and upgrade to the 55k/month contract. |

Hey Moochy,
This is Tara (I picked up 2 phones and then had a friend who picked up 2 more) I just wanted to say thanks I love mine (My bf loves his and my other friend loves his) and have had no issues with it at all. They are great phones at a great price.
However one of my friends had a problem setting his up, when we spoke you mentioned returns wouldn't be a problem if this were the case. However, he spoke with your g/f who said a return was not possible. I just wanted to clear this up and work something out. Thanks so much!
-Tara
