So have been downloading a lot using Utorrents engine.
Been great for last 3 weeks then last night all the torrents in progress had a red exclamaition mark next to them and soemthign about files missing. I forced a re-check but no joy...
Removed all the torrents (annoying as some only had one or two seeders and were SLOW and were almost finished after days of downloading at 10kb ps etc) and re-searched for them on demonoid and restarted them and all was fine.
What happened? Why did the same torrents download fine after I removed them but had files missing etc before?
Weird. |

First of all, forgive my naivity. I am only a month into owning a modern computer.
All I know is I just use the magnet link from the download site so I guess I use whichever trackers automatically come with the torrent.
Is that good or bad?
Anything I should change?
Like I said all the torrents are going fine now and some of them finished. So maybe it was a temp glitch or soemthing? I don't know. I scanned them all with MSE too and no threats detected. |

It sounds like the trackers were down with the website. Could be for maintenance or who knows? It happens and there is nothing to change or worry about. |

Files missing usually means that you've deleted or moved the partial files on your harddrive. You haven't been changing your drive letters have you? |

Not that I know of. I don't even know what changing my drive letters means however. Honestly, I don't. |

A tracker is a site that tells your client software how to find the files you are downloading. If thats down then usually you will not complete the download.
Changing your drive letter means for example changing your D: drive letter to a E: or something like that? Where are your torrents located? |

Glad they're all fixed! Sometimes I would get issues when parts of my hard drive were bad. Just be aware that can happen. |
