|
|
Hello All,
I just wanted to share how to get your documents apostille in New York City. Keep in mind that this is a do it yourself procedure.
- Get your documents notorized-(A good Notary Public is located just a few block north of the Court house) 315 Broadway (212)577-6804 cost per document $3.25
-Take your notarized documents to the NY County Clerks Office which is located at 60 Centre str.in NY, NY 646-385-5950. This is located just a few blocks south from where you would get your documenst notraized.
-The County Clerks Office is located in the base in Rm 141-B ( The will verify and stamp your documenst which will also cost $3.00per document)
-Afterward you will be instructed to take your docs to the NY State Dept. Which is located at 123 William Str. on the 19th Floor
-Direction to the NY State Dept. from the County Clerks Office( Walk south passing Pace university, J&R music world until you see Fulton str.
Make a left on Fulton str. walk about 2 blocks and make a right on to williwam str. # 123 is a few buildings down. Got to the 19th Floor and the security will assist you.
- To get your docs Apostile will cost you $10.00 for each document and you must have exact change. Once you pay the clerk you will have a seat and your Apostilze docs will be ready in about 20-30 minutes.
This entire process took me about 2-3hrs total to complete.
I hope that this can help you. |

Hey thanks.
This is helpful.
Just wondering. Where did you get your background check done? Did you go with a state check or FBI? |

I got it done via the FBI. Go to your local Police Dept. and get finger printed once you have your prints you can send your application for the criminal background check to the FBI. It take 12 weeks as to what I was told by the FBI customer service person. |
