I've been working at a public school since 2008. Yesterday I went in to renew my ARC card. Last year they mailed me a new one and kept the old one and my passport. This year they just wrote the updated date on the back. And they didn't have to keep my passport either.
And, they gave me 13 months. I heard about this new policy before and I'm just letting everyone know that it's automatic now (at least it was for me). So no need to pay for an extension if you need more time in Korea. I asked the worker and he said it was done because so many people would come in and ask for extensions. I guess this makes it easier on immigration. |
