I had been offered a job and sent them all my visa documents and received my visa pin number, however the job fell through and when I asked them to send back all my documents they said they can only send back my degree as immigration has the rest and will not release them once they have been submitted. I am wondering will I be able to use the visa pin I have been issued to obtain an e2 visa if I secure another job? It will take me a while to get the criminal background check done again. Does anybody know about this?

The confirmation number is directly tied to the employer and cannot be used for another position with a different employer.

Bad news for you is that you will have to wait 90 days for the number to expire before immigration will issue a new one (for a new job). They will NOT issue one while you have one outstanding.

Double bad news is that you need to get a complete set of replacement documents as well.

Triple bad news, even if you wait 90 days and apply with a new set of documents, immi may turn you down for bailing on the first one they offered you and you wont know until you apply.

What is the name of the school and recruiter?

If they've given you the shaft, they'll likely try to do it to others as well. Help others to avoid these type people by letting everyone know who did this.
