|
|
I heard from SeoulNate that FBI background checks could be expedited by requesting it from a major state university's campus police under the pretense of acquiring a teaching license. I tried that trick at SFSU today, and that didn't work (they said to go to your local precinct). Going to try it with Cal tomorrow, but I'm not that hopeful.
Any other suggestions to expedite the process, particularly in SF (like, say, going to the local FBI office down the street from me)? |

You can go to your congressman's website and contact him. Just explain your situation and they should be able to do it. |

Eeeh, the congressman suggestion is a great idea, but I don't know who I would be speaking to. I haven't claimed residency outside of my home state (RI...I know my congressman would be Langevin in that case), but I haven't lived there in over 5 years. Then again, if I claimed it here, it'd be Nancy Pelosi, eeeesh... |

OK, the FBI was no dice. Cal's system seems to be unintentionally built so that students or other people couldn't get quick background checks.
There you have it. Now for an interesting question: Why the hell did the FBI build a very important division of its organization in the middle of crazy militia-land, also known as West Virginia? |
