We were there just after it opened an hour early the Saturday before Chuseok and it was mobbed, even that early! We were there 10 minutes after opening and we had to fight for a table in the food court. The great news? Large pumpkin pies for 6,990 won and Boston Cream pies for 12,990 won! The large crowd was the bad news. If you're planning to go to Costco this weekend, expect huge crowds snapping up everything, especially any of the Chuseok gift sets and, of course, the onions with mustard at the food court area. In case you didn't know it, Costco does run out of the more popular Chuseok gift sets, especially any of the alcohol gift sets. Other stores seem to have endless supplies of Chuseok gift sets.

The odd news is that Christmas presents and candy are already out in the store. Christmas season 2010 has already started at Costco.

Anyone else fighting the crowds to shop today?

Absolutely not. I've locked myself in my apartment for the day. I went to CostCo on Thursday and even then, it was crowded.

I went there today and it was crazy. Saturday is normally bad but this was ridiculous.

I got mean!

The line for the checkouts were so long. I had 4 items in a costco bag. Guy and wife behind me kept on pushing the trolley into the back of me as the line slowly moved.

I cracked. Turned around and pushed it back at him. He apologized.

Paid for my goods and the pushing continued. I accepted that bit trying to get onto the escalator.

But being a civilized person I made my way to get out through the exit doors (not the doors marked entrance). I'm pissed and just want to get out. And of course I am carrying a bag that is heavy and some women comes in through the exit doors. Do I move? Nope! Does she get hit very hard with my shoulder as I am walking fast carrying a heavy bag? Yep:) Do I stop? Nope.

These children have to be taught the hard way I think.

Yeah, Sigmund, I think we've all been there with the crowds. It's a pity that they keep the Costco numbers down because if Costco had the freedom here, they would rule this joint. Home-Plus uh and E-Mat-uh would be history.

I think they're Christmas cookies. Those pies looked great.

Did anyone else notice the return of the turkey burgers?
