I understand that we all need the FBI background check after Jan 1, 2011, but my question is this:
If I use my state background check and get to Korea before Jan, do I still need the FBI check to get my alien registration card? I'd rather not go through the hassle if I don't need to.

| as far as I know, if you get your ARC BEFORE jan.1 you'll be fine with just a state wide check. Keep in mind it takes a while to get the ARC, though. |
