Does anyone know how strict schools are with CBC's? Because of the new visa requirements for a nationwide CBC, I think my arrest for a DUI (in a different state) will show up on the results. Its currently pending and I'm fighting to get the charge to wet wreckless driving. But I noticed on the EPIK application there was a question specifically for being charged or convicted of a major offense, including alcohol based ones. I wasn't sure if I should mark it as yes or no.

Any advice? Will I get denied a visa because of this? Are private school more lenient?

It is not the schools who even look at the CBC, it is immigration.

If it shows on your record you will be denied a visa (or visa renewal).

Hey ttompatz, could you answer a question for me...

When exactly does Korean Immi look at the CBC. It's just that I sent off my documents on monday and it expires on Oct 17th (a few days before I start my contract).

I have a new CBC (got it today) and can send it again if needs be, but it would just be a whole lot more hassle.

Thanks in advance!

They look at it the day it lands on the desk of the immigration officer when the school applies for your visa confirmation number.
