Looking to travel to Gyeongju tomorrow as a bit of a last minute thing with a few buddies. Does abnyone have any information on the best / cheapest way to get there from Incheon of Seoul.

I found some onformation about busses from an old website but I don't know how up to date it is. Apparently busses go from Dong-Seoul Bus Terminal direct. If anyone can confirm this I'd really appreciate it.

Takes about 4 hours and the cheapest is 19500. What a lot of people do is take a train to Daegu, then jump on a bus right across the street, but I don't know how difficult it would be to get a train ticket this week.

Incheon is an independent city, west of Seoul. However, by the typical notation 'Incheon/Seoul', I'll assume you're talking about ICN, Incheon International Airport.

The cheapest way would be ICN-Gyeongju direct shuttle buses, departing ICN at 07:00, 08:50, 13:40, 21:30 from 10C, KRW 37500. Additionally there are 17:10 and 19:30 buses via Songdo, yet the net journey time would be pretty much the same, around 5~5.5 hours. The downside is, of course, its infrequency.

Taking KTX is a bit of hassle, since you must transfer twice - once at Gwangmyeong, again at Daegu - as there is no direct KTX service to Gyeongju. It's unnecessary for you to travel all the way to Seoul Station only to catch a train, you'd be wasting your time.

Estimated journey time from ICN via Gwangmyeong and Daegu is around 4 hours, and you'll spend KRW 10000 for the bus from ICN to Gwangmyeong, and KRW 44200 for tickets Gwangmyeong-Daegu-Gyeongju.
