Does anyone know where to buy 290 or bigger size hiking boots/shoes. I tired most of the shops around Dobongsan yesterday but only 2 shops had a size 290 and only available in one ugly style. Any suggestions

I once bought a pair of Scarpa hiking boots (size 320) at a shop near an entrance of Bukhansan National Park. I'm not entirely sure, but I think it was a Red Face shop. This particular spot a got to by taking the subway to Gupabal station and then a bus to Bukhansan. Really, once you go out of the station all you have to do is follow the stream of hikers looking like they're on their way to Everest.

Probably not what you want, but I was hoping to be able to plug www.shoebuy.com on here someday. I use my Korean credit card to pay -easy as pie and I have been super, super happy with their service. I have been buying extra-wide shoes for my husband who has duck-feet, and can't find anything near wide enough in Korea. We always search the net for discount codes, so buying on sale with a 10-45% discount on top of that means that even with international shipping we can usually get 2 pairs of shoes for under $100. And my favorite part - they don't include the original price or the shipping fee on the invoice, so it gets through customs easy breezy. <3 Shoebuy!
