My partner wants to come to Korea with me this winter, but is concerned that his fbi background check will return with a DUI arrest from college. He plead guilty, attended diversion and the charges were dismissed. Will this show up? Is it something the Korean government will deny?


Any help would be appreciated.

The only way to know is get the CBC. If it is there then he needs to look at another country.

Immigration will NOT issue a visa confirmation number with a positive finding of a DUI.

The DUI won't show as a conviction. It will just be an arrest and charges dismissed. Any chance that would slide?

What other countries can we look at? I have my heart set on Korea and am determined to find a way for him to teach as well, but nothing is very clear.

As far as I know, immi will only accept clean CRC. Razz
