Has anyone else heard about this? I saw it on a friend's Facebook and thought it looked interesting. Worth further investigating for sure.

A movie about zombies or demons or whatever taking over Seoul. Some survivors, English teachers no less, have to get out or something.

The Facebook page also has post about shooting the final chase scene and they need some people to be zombies or demons or whatever they are.

Here's the trailer link:

P.S. My apologies if this has been posted already.

It looks pretty cheesy and over-acted even for a zombie film.

What are you expecting Citizen Kane ?

I'm assuming they don't have a massive budget considering they post on Dave's looking for help.

Good luck to everyone involved congrats on making a movie !

is this your friend's movie or something? probably NO ONE has heard of this, so I'm guessing that's why you're plugging it

I for one would be happy to see some local, indie-film work being done! Cool. At least these people had more to do then just hang out in bars...

And it's a zombie film. I'd even happily contribute a score to the film if they wish Cool

Good to see some creative expat work is being done here in Korea!

Nah, I don't know anyone involved with this project personally. My post may have led you to believe otherwise, but I honestly thought it was a cool find and decided to share it.

Clearly, there is a limited budget involved, but the trailer is pretty decent and if I can help by letting others know of its existence, then I'm happy.

It looks like a cool project to be involved with.

Looks like someone's hagwon boss went to far!! I love zombie movies. Wanted to be a zombie extra in Land of the Dead back in the production dasa but they already had too many people. Its a PA thing. This film looks like it was fun to make but I still think a zombie massacre to G G G baby baby baby would be an awesome thing to witness.

First off: I think it's awesome that some of the comments on here for "Fear Eats the Seoul" have been supportive and positive. That's fantastic. Frankly, for the negativity that can sometimes haunt Dave's, that's incredible. But for the naysayers-

You can't exactly judge an indie movie working on a budget of practically nothing with none of the actors or extras getting paid to the budget of movies like "28 xxx Later."

It's a horror-genre indie movie being shot by an expat in Seoul. How about being excited rather than trying to tear it down the minute you see it because it doesn't fit some arbitrary, even professional standard?

Better yet, how about you make some art yourself?

I happen to know the director and I've been liminally involved, so I could be considered biased, but the only way art scenes flourish in any country is if people contribute rather than making themselves feel better by standing back and mocking or judging without adding anything to the picture. I don't play an instrument, but I'm certainly not going to go to a music open mic and throw tomatoes at someone who doesn't play like Carlos Santana.

Or better yet, head onto Dave's and mock their efforts.

I think this is going to be really awesome. Hundreds (if not thousands, including editing) of hours of work are going into the project, as well as the hard work of dozens of people. I saw one friend the day after a shoot covered in bruises because of a fight scene they had shot. Everyone involved in this has worked their asses off.

I'm excited to see it!

My opinion was based on the trailer. Usually trailers show the best parts of the movie and this one just didn't look good. I applaud their effort, but effort and quality aren't always the same.

To use your musical analogy, I could put hundred even thousands of hours into trying to be a singer, but chances are that short of divine intervention I'm going to sound like a cat with it's tail being pulled off. If you came to my concert would you have the courtesy to hang around until the end? Would you say something good about me if someone mentioned my concert?

I watch a lot of films, so if this one comes out online, I'll probably watch it just because I've heard of it. But from what I HAVE seen of the trailer, I don't think it will be all that good. I used to go to screenings of films made by high school kids. Some of those were real gems, yet the majority were rubbish. Again, I applauded them and congratulated them on the hard work (which really you can only assess after seeing the whole movie) but the actual films often weren't great. If someone asked me about them, I'd be honest about that.

If you see a torrent for this film, let us know and maybe more people can give a better, more objective review. Myself, I probably wouldn't go to watch it at a cinema.
