Where can I buy some gold and silver in seoul?
I want to buy them at a bank, but which banks sell them?

Also, how much in terms of (1don) are gold and silver nowadays?

Shinhan sells gold. They even had some UBS last time I checked. worst price ever though.

just not the right place to buy gold. there's better places. Also, they gonna get angry if you take gold out of Korea. If you wanna buy gold buy it in Europe !

thanks for the response but.. I'm not asking for anyones opinion on whether or not Korea's the right place to buy gold.
What I am asking is WHICH banks can I buy gold/silver in Korea?
and what the rate is.

Pretty sure Shinhan bank sells Kruggerands. Don't remember who told me this, as I was a little drunk at the time.

How much are you looking to buy and what brand (Pamp, UBS, CS, etc.) ? ONLY GOLD. Depending on the volume I could maybe hook you up with the right people in Korea.

you dont want to know the Korean banks prices. Trust me, it's a waste. And they dont sell silver because hey - what's silver anyways the poor man's gold.

I was interested in buying Kruggerand coins, Olympic Coins for the Seoul Olympics like this "http://www.taxfreegold.co.uk/southkorea.html" and was interested in buying in "dons" I was thinking around 50 dons.
Last time I heard 1 don was around 220,000 won. Not sure what it is now..

I dont know what the best brand is to buy in Korea, I really have no idea, but I would not buy anything from non-Swiss refiners. It is just a personal preference.

Also I have no idea about the Don thing, why would you go for the Korean standard if the world standard is different? And 11 Million is really not a big deal, so I believe you should talk to Shinhan bank
