Yeah, I'm not paying $120 for something that costs $75 -- thanks for the tip though. It's the EU version and I need the US version anyway.
If Amazon Prime used my Free 2day shipping to give me standard int'l shipping that'd be sweet. Too bad I hear they don't ship games to Korea. |

I already checked with Amazon and they won't ship it here.
I'm curious, what server are people planning on playing on?
I plan on playing on Figaro and I know at least a couple other people living in Korea will be there. So if anyone wants to, you are welcome to join! Feel free to send me a PM. Probably set up a guild/linkshell for Korea onry people since you can have multiple linkshells in XIV, assuming there is an appreciable number of people. |

| I was going to play on Mysidia since a friend had his beta character there but honestly I don't think we care. I'll bring him to Figaro with me. |

Hrms.. I'm still getting a timeout error. I ordered my copy from Gamestop and had them ship it to my brother. Just gonna input the code. Assuming the Beta client will patch to the full.
I'm using KT and unable to connect? Might call them up tomorrow to make sure everything is in order. |

Have any of you guys even tried the open beta yet? I played it for a few hours and god it was awful.
Gotta click through the menu a million times to do anything. Combat is a mess, and the quests are generic and boring.
It's been at least five years since WoW came out, and everything that WoW got right, this game got wrong. |

| I haven't played a MMO for a few years now and was looking at giving this a go. What's the general consensus? |

| It seems like the general idea is the game is good and it has minor problems that will be patched. If you're interested, I'd say you should give it a try. I'm biased though, I want more people to play with. |

Having a look at the prices, it seems most Korean websites are selling the game for 100,000
Play-Asia offer it for 60,000 (don't know how much they charge for delivery).
I was actually thinking of downloading the game via torrent and then buying a CD-KEY from an online store.
I think an average game CD-KEY is only about $20.
I've done this once before with WoW.
So if your not fussy about having the actual hard copy of the game, you might want to consider this option. |

| I'm not sure how they get keys for those setups. The game retails for $50 and I'm not aware of any discount keys. Play-Asia charges almost $10 for delivery to SK. So in the end you'll pay about $65. |

Honestly I'm not so sure either.
But when I got mine, I remember they e-mailed me a picture of the CD-KEY on the actual game.
Which made me question, how are they making their money?
$65 is a fair price including delivery, I think I might go for that option instead. Do they accept Korean Visa cards?
Also do you know if you can use Korean cards to make your monthly payment? I heard the payment system for FFXIV is dealt by a 3rd party company based in England (Since I'm British I have bank accounts in England but would prefer to use Korean bank). |
