If you're with GEPIK, and your contract finishes on an "odd" date (early April), then could you have your contract with your school extended to around August, so you can go to a new public school (in GEPIK, EPIK, or SMOE) at the right time?

That is entirely up to the school but be aware that your visa (E2) will only be extended for a year (Apr-Apr) so you will need to do another short extension (Apr-Aug) to complete your contract.

Great.

Will I need an FBI criminal record check for the extension?

I want to work for SMOE. What specific date should I extend my current GEPIK contract until?

If you didn't supply a FBI check yet you WILL need to submit one when you do your renewal in April (2011).

You won't need another one for the following April (2012) taking you to August 2012 for your SMOE application (Sept 2012 start).

Apply in June for .Sept 2012.

I want an extension of about 4 months on my GEPIK contract (until August 2011), then I want to start SMOE in August/September 2011.

Is that possible? If so, is an FBI check needed for a ~4 month GEPIK contract extension?
