I am having issues with Korean customs. I have two packages held up in customs both consisting of relatively the same goods: bodybuilding supplements.

My protein came from the Korean website speedns.co.kr. The Korean friend who ordered it is trying to get in touch with the website but is having no luck. I am a bit pi55d that I have to go through this when it was ordered through a website (I didnt know they ordered from the US).

The other package I ordered from bodybuilding.com. The website told me it is being held in customs and when it is released they would let me know.

Has anyone been in a similar situation before and is there anything I can do to speed the process up or should I just sit here and wait (literally)? I am buying Weider protein in the interim and its costing a fortune! Will I have to pay extra money to get the goods released?

I ordered some whey protein shakes from davidkirschwellness.com and customs wouldn't deliver it right away. I called them and yelled at them, saying I am vegetarian and will get sick unless I can get protein, and I can't have tofu every day. They sent it. Is it whey protein?

One of the packages is just whey the one from bb.com is micellar caesin and arginine and carnitine.

Do you have their number and do they speak English?

Did you include your passport # for speedns?
I had a similar problem and it turns out that recently they require your passport number to get it through customs. Their website is a joke and there are no contact numbers or email for Speedns. The only way to communicate with them is to create an ID name and PW, then post on their forum. If you didn't give them your password get your Korean friend to do that for you and you'll have it in a matter of days.

Im not sure if I did but I don't think so. Their website is indeed a bad joke, so shall if I get my friend to post what's happened and my passport number will that suffice?

Could be the post-chuseok "work"

I've had problems with Customs before. Thing is, before Chuseok (as well as a few months after) they arent very efficient. Afterward the agents all want to look busy so they start doing their jobs to an irritating high degree.

I got a package locked up because it was too "expensive". Funny thing is, I've had packages from the same company (amounting to more) yet it was never blocked. Rolling Eyes

i ordered a pretty big package 3 years ago from bodybuilding.com and it was held in customs. they held it because i had to pay a tax on it since it was such a large package. it was a stupid amount... something to the likes of 100,000 won.

maybe that's why they're holding yours back. i don't think speedns.co.kr would offer anything that would be held back by korean customs.

Yeah that's all I did and it worked flawlessly. Just be sure to have him or her check back to make sure that they reply and that the lack of your passport # was indeed the problem. I ordered from them with no problem several times and then one time my order just never showed up.
Good luck.

try bodybuilding.com and yes there is a hold up with all this powder as somthings are on ban list. I am a serious lifter and i have to allow time and planning my diet. this site is really excellent and they have a live service to ask questions relating to your order. best of luck.
