Korean TV
I hate- detest- when watching a comedy program (or any other) and for some reason the director thinks its a good idea to repeat the same sequence from different angles. Usually its some banal act which "surprises" the immediate audience, giving a three-hundred and sixty degree view of how stupid their faces are. That and the OOOOOOO sound to something so F'in simple or lame
think of a Mr Pizza guy twirling a pizza on his finger.. OOOOOO
or a Turkish ice cream salesman holding the ice cream blob on a stick OOOOO
Foreigner speaking Korean.. OOOOOOOOOO |
That is exactly what I have been thinking lately. Korean movies are great and I have seen a few awesome ones on TV especially over Chuseok.
But the TV especially chat shows are absolute dribble. I HATE how they repeat those scenes as if it was a sports show but they arent even slow motion - you get the samesound three times like "Ahhhh..." wait... "Ahhhh..." wait... "Ahhhh..." wait... "
I switch the channel immediately when they come on.
Plus something else I hate is the shows which sit around talkign about something for ages. Or they have people on the stage or set whose sole job it is to comment on what the others are doing. I don't mean the MC's like in a regulart show but like a group of six people who debate what someone else is doing - BORING!!!!! |

This.
Bothers the crap out of me. I should rise above, but... I. Just. Can't.
Gawd, usually it goes something like:
Any foreigners in *insert location*? (Well, since you yourself seem to live there, yes, in fact there are. Delete your inane thread please.) |

Yeah. "Any foreigners in Seoul?"
What are you a MORON???!!!!!
"Any foreigners in Busan?"
Um.....probably close on 3,000. Why don't you rephrase your question.
Um..."Any Korean people in LA?"
That is how stupid the above questions are. It is well known that there are thousands if not hundreds of thousands.

Random strangers that think it is OK for them to go out of their way to touch/grab/stroke my babies. Idiots even do it when I politely ask them not to.
I'm gonna break the arm of the next person who does that.
And the elevator/escelator thing. Jeez, learn how use them. |

Do you ever start explaining your purchases speaking English in hyper speed? |

| I don't know...in all my years, this is the only place where somebody has actually reached into my cart(other than the cashier) and put their greasy mitts on my items. It was very peasantesque. Oh, and your last question(if it can be deemed as such) is retarded. |

Well, you know what opinions are like, right?
I've actually done that while overseas and it seemed to make gawkers leave me alone.
So I guess the rule here is if you are a "regular" it's acceptable to insult and be rude to others but it's not OK for new people. mmmmmmmkay. |

| TGI Fridays at Yeongdeungpo Station put honey butter on my loaded baked potato. A minor annoyance, I know. But I was so looking forward to that potato... |

No. It's disgusting and shameful and it makes me want to puke more than warm beer makes Frank Booth want to puke.
That plus gotchujjang on lobster.
I spend 80,000 on a lobster dinner and you give me gotchujan insted of garlic butter? Are you mad? Don't you know EVERYTHING tastes the same when it's covered in gotchujjang!? |

You know what really grinds my gears?
Having a clogged toilet that clogged when you had the runs before everything had managed to flush and then not realizing this until you're a 1600ml of Hite deep.
Stupid toilet. I don't want to dirty my brand new plunger so I'm just hitting flush every 5 minutes.
Why did I have to by the cheap 물 tissues? |

Now THIS really grinds my gears. My, what an exhausting ride down the escalator. Here would be good be a good place to pause, stretch, and look around. |
Dear dear, just walk through them. The locals understand this and isn't an offence. |

No, it's horrible. Honey butter + cheese + sour cream is not a good combination at all. I was also brought ketchup to go on...something. Not sure what but I think it might have been for the coconut shrimp. Sometimes I just don't understand the logic behind culinary decisions here. |
