Who knows some real thought provokers?

I'm thinking...

'I come to this magnificent house of worship tonight because my conscience leaves me no other choice.
A true revolution of values will lay hands on the world order and say of war:

This way of settling differences is not just.
This business of burning human beings with napalm, filling our nation's homes with orphans and widows. Of injecting poisonous drugs of hate into the veins of peoples normally humane.
Of sending men home from dark and bloody battlefields physically handicapped and psychologically deranged - cannot be reconciled with wisdom, justice and love.'

Martin Luther King Jr.

Late NZ prime minsiter, of the 70's, Robert Muldoon. Right wing, a tyrant and usually drunk by mid afternoon.

Was once asked by an Australian reporter his thoughts about massive NZ immigration to Aussie during the mid 70's

He didn't miss a beat, replied straight away.

I think it's great, it's raising the IQ's of both countries. Then he just smiled....

Listen to zis, ya?

Now i will translate zis for you, ya? Read zis and sink, ya ya?

Ze people can always - wiz or wizout ze right to vote - be made to follow ze wishes of ze leadership. It's simple: You only have to tell ze people that zhey are under attack, and accuse ze pacifists of lacking patriotism and claim zhat zhey put zheir country in danger. Zhis method works in every country.

Zis is by Herman Goering, ya? Ze Jaegermeister of ze Grossdeutsches Reich, ya ya! Prost!

Suspiciously similar to a Hitler quote... something along the lines of 'It's incredibly fortunate for the leaders of a country that the followers are idiots'

Quote:
The best rulers are scarcely known by their subjects;
The next best are loved and praised;
The next are feared;
The next despised:
They have no faith in their people,
And their people become unfaithful to them.

When the best rulers achieve their purpose
Their subjects claim the achievement as their own.

I would have said number 2 and three were the best, if it wasn't for number 4.
