I am studying Korean at Sogang at the moment, and studied for 2 levels previously at Yonsei.
After I complete level 4 at Sogang, I plan on returning to Yonsei to complete all 6 levels to attain the "Certificate of Fluency in Korean Language" that you get from the Yonsei Korean Language Institute.
I believe a while ago I read that in place of one taking the TOPIK exam, that one of the only acceptable other forms of proof of Korean language proficiency that is accepted at universities and at Korean companies, is the Yonsei Korean Language Certificate of Fluency.
Is that true?
I really do not want to take my TOPIK exam, and I don't like the idea of a scored exam that who ever I am sending my exam results to can see, and I may not do that well, and it is only held twice a year. So does any one know is this is true?
If I complete all 6 levels at Yonsei's KLI, and receive my certificate upon graduation, can I use that to show my proof of language proficiency, and is that universally accepted, or must I still take the TOPIK?
Please any one with experience involving graduation from Yonsei's KLI, TOPIK, and the necessity of Korean language proof in one way or another (Either applying at a university or Korean company), share your experience, as I would so greatly appreciate it! |
