What are you doing? Do you need to convert the signal to HD or are you using an old monitor to display an HDMI signal?
Two different kinds of signals, not really compatible. You can buy converters though, but they are expensive. |

@vDroop: i am connecting my PC to HDTV and i understand they are two different signals but one of my friends in US is using a cable to do the same. So, was the question...
@taesookim: i did that search lol but none of it meets what i want... i guess its not available in korea as yet... |

hey thanks for commenting.. i saw that amazon cable, read reviews for detail... thanks for the pic but i am looking for the reverse of amazon cable which is supposedly being used in the states... |

they sell them at home plus for like 9 bucks.
I would not recommend doing it that way. If your PC gfx card can't output HDMI then chances are it will not support any resolution that the TV supports. and it will look like total crap.
Solution? Get a Monitor / TV combo. A little more costly, but they are great. Or, get a new gfx card! |

This.
Those cables people linked above will either give you resolution not supported error or the picture will look like dogshit.
Does your graphics card have a DVI connection? You could run DVI to HDMI and depending on the card model it might work. But I suppose you'd already be using DVI if your card had it. |
